Kinya Gilbert
Background
As a Richfield native, Kinya developed a passion for swimming when she was young. Kinya went on to have a successful career at Richfield High School and later, Minnesota State University, Mankato.
High School
Kinya participated in the Minnesota State High School Swim meet for three years while in high school. She was also a section champ in the 50 free her junior season. Kinya later went on to swim for Minnesota State University, Mankato.
College
2014-2015
Gilbert places 8th in the 50 free in the dual meet against Minnesota State University, Moorhead. The highlight of Kinya’s freshman season was swimming a personal best in her 100 back at the Conference Championship meet in Cleveland, Mississippi.
