2014-15
Wright took fifth in the 200 butterfly at the Pac-12 Championships.
2015-16
Wright set the school record in the 200 fly (1:41.76) in the finals of the Pac-12 Championships. The sophomore also finished eighth in te B final of the 100 fly (47.71). Wright took third in the B final of the 200 fly to earn honorable mention All-America honors (1:42.77).
2016-17
At the Pac-12 Championships, Wright finished third in the 200 butterfly (1:41.88). Wright placed seventh in the 200 butterfly at the NCAA Championships to earn All-America honors, recording a personal best and school record (1:40.94). He recorded a personal best (46.78) in the 100 fly at the NCAA Championships. Wright was named Arizona Athletics Junior Male Athlete of the Year.
2017-2018
Wright placed fifth in the 200 butterfly (1:40.16) at the 2018 NCAA Championships to earn All-America honors, and was on Arizona’a 14th place 400 medley relay team. He finished 26th in the 100 fly. Wright was 2nd at the Pac-12 Championships in the 200 fly (1:41.26).

Wright finished sixth in the 200 butterfly.
2018 U.S. National Championships
Wright swam a personal best (1.54.63) in the 200 fly to win the title at the Phillips 66 National Championships, marking his first national title and qualifying him for the 2018 Pan Pac team, his first ever USA “A” team. He finished 44th in the 100 butterfly (53.99)
