Jessie Sutherland:
Jessie was raised in Winnetka, Illinois where she grew up playing lacrosse and swimming. Jessie competed in both sports at New Trier High School, but her junior year she chose to solely compete in swimming. While in high school, Jessie received All American honors for the 200 medley relay and 400 free relay. She helped her team to three state titles while at New Trier, and was the school record holder in the 100 fly, the 200 free relay and the 200 medley relay. At Duke, Jessie has continued her career training backstroke and sprint freestyle.
Club:
Jessie was a part of New Trier Swim Club where she swam for their national team under Andrew Hodgson.
College:
2013-2014:
During her freshman year at Duke, Jessie was a part of the ACC and NCAA Championship team. While at ACCs, Jessie was a part of the 200 and 400 medley relay that broke the school’s records. She also scored for the Blue Devils in the 100 back and 100 fly while at ACCs.
Personal:
Jessie is majoring in Sociology while receiving her certificate in Markets and Management Studies.
