Fiona Majeau
Fiona Majeau is a freestyle swimmer studying Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University. Majeau is currently in her senior year, and she’s originally from Seattle, Wash. She graduated from Garfield High School as a state champion – where her mother was her coach – and as the high school valedictorian. The swimming gene runs in the Majeau family – her parents actually met as swimmers at the University of Washington and her mother, Karen, was an All-American in the 200 IM. Majeau has always focused on her academics just as much as swimming. In high school she took AP courses in subjects such as Latin and calculus, and also played in her school’s jazz band, which was nationally recognized. She also sings and plays the trumpet – she frequently sung the national anthem at home meets.
