Background
Ben was born and raised in Gainesville, FL. He began swimming competitively at the age of 10, and swam club for High Tide Aquatics. In high school he swam for Gainesville High School and won a state title in 2011. He committed to Virginia Tech in the fall of 2012.
College
2013-2014
As a freshman, Ben was a member of the ACC all-academic team.
2014-2015
As a sophomore, Ben showed large improvement scoring more points in duel meets, and also maintained his statues on the ACC all-academic list.
Personal
Chemistry major, pursing a career in medicine after graduation.
