Day 3 featured finals of the women’s and men’s 50 back, 400 free, 100 fly, and 200 breast, as well as timed finals of the 400 free relay.

As in the 100 back on Thurdsay, the fastest time of the combined meets came out of Madison, where Maggie Wanezek won by half a body length in 28.19. Alyssa Sagle came away with the Greensboro win by nearly a full body, touching in 28.35. Brynn Lavigueur won a more closely-contested final in Ocala with 28.37. Ocala’s first 3 finishers all made the combined top 8.

The winners from each of the five sites contributed the top 5 times in the men’s 50 back – something we have not yet seen! Stuart Seymour was the overall winner with 25.33 in Madison. The other site gold medalists included Gavin Keogh (25.59) in Sacramento, Collin Holgerson (25.64) in Ocala, Matthew Bittner (25.72) in Justin, and Devin Naoroz (25.77) in Greensboro.

15-year-old Audrey Derivaux led the combined results by 2 seconds in the 400 free; she won in Greensboro with 4:12.78, crushing her entry time by 4.9 seconds. Kathryn McCarthy took care of the competition in Madison with 4:14.80. 13-year-old Lauren Lonsdale dropped 5.5 seconds to win in Sacrament to 4:15.61. Sacramento contributed 3 times to the top 8.

Jacob Hamlin slashed 7.2 seconds off his seed time to post the fastest performance in the men’s 400 free; he won in Ocala by a margin of 2.3 seconds with 3:53.53. Levi Sandidge emerged victorious in Greensboro by a slim .21 margin over Rory O’Connor, 3:53.81 to 3:54.02. Sandidge took 6.5 seconds off his entry time, while O’Connor, entered with 4:21.46, dropped 27. Ocala and Madison each had 3 of the 8 fastest performances.

Two 15-year-old swimmers in the final of the women’s 100 fly broke 1:00 in Greensboro, but the fastest time throughout the five sites belonged to 17-year-old Riley Anderson in Madison. Anderson clocked a PB of 59.55, improving her PB by 1.22, to beat Claire Reineke (1:00.35) by .8. In Greensboro, Emma Richardson touched out Reina Liu, 59.64 to 59.86. Richardson dropped .93; Liu was 1.41 faster than her previous PB. Greensboro accounted for half of the top 8 times.

Ocala produced 4 of the top 8 times in the men’s 100 fly. Improving his entry time by 1.5 seconds, Logan Robinson won with 52.12, beating Bradford Johnson (53.20) by a body length and posting the fastest time among the five sites. Stuart Seymour won his second event of the night in Madison, going 52.73 to add the 100 fly crown to his portfolio.

Kaidy Stout won by 2.4 seconds in Greensboro to post the only sub-2:30 of the five sites. She was just off her entry time of 2:28.63 with 2:29.39. Gabriella Augustyn dropped 3.1 seconds to eke out a 3:31.59-to-2:31.65 thriller over Bridget McGann (-1.8 seconds) in Madison. Greensboro and Madison each had 3 of the top 8 times.

Quicksilver Swimming edged North Bay Aquatics in Sacramento, 3:24.91 to 3:25.05, to lead the five sites in the men’s 4×100 free relay. NASA Wildcats went 3:24.99 in Madison for the victory, while Baylor Swim Club took home first in Ocala with 3:25.25.
