Overview– Annapolis Swim Club is seeking part time assistant coaches. ASC was recently named a bronze medal swim club in the 2023 USA Swimming Club Excellence program. Located right in the capital of Maryland, ASC is a club of 275 athletes ranging from novice swimmers ages six to eight years old, all the way up through high school athletes who are Junior and Senior National level qualifiers. Coming off of our highest ever LSC championship meet
finishes with a 2nd place finish for Age Group Champs and a 3rd place for Senior Champs, ASC is one of the premier clubs in the Eastern Zone. ASC is currently hiring for the summer months and 2025-2026 season. Our highest demand is currently for coaches in our 10 and under aged practice groups, but all coaches have some flexibility to work with a plethora of different ages and abilities. Coaches at ASC can expect to enjoy taking part in working alongside a great coaching team, where goal oriented coaches work toward meeting the individual athlete needs and continuing to develop our program across the national stage. ASC is a 501c3 non profit board governed club.
Job Description– Coaches at Annapolis Swim Club will lead or assist their assigned practice groups running workouts aligned with the vision of the Head Coach. Coaches work practice hours each week plus on average coach at one swim meet per month on weekends. Some coaches have additional responsibilities with completing team meet entries and with group communication to parents. Coaches will need to be current (or become certified shortly after hiring) with all USA Swimming Certifications, including Safety Training for Coaches and Athlete Protection Training. All coaches must be able to pass a USA Swimming background check.
