Old Dominion Aquatic Club (ODAC), a highly regarded competitive swim program based in Virginia Beach and Chesapeake, VA, is seeking enthusiastic and experienced coaches to fill multiple coaching vacancies. We are looking for individuals passionate about developing swimmers across various skill levels while fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.
Start Date:
• No later than August 2025.
• Earlier start dates will be considered for qualified candidates.
Practice Groups:
• Entry-Level Senior Group (S3)
• Advanced Senior-Level Group (S2)
• Multiple Age Group Practice Groups
Compensation:
• Hourly rate: $20–$25 per hour.
• Opportunities for salaried positions may be available based on candidates’ availability and interest in leading multiple practice groups.
Locations:
• Virginia Beach site.
• Multiple Chesapeake locations.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement practice plans tailored to each group’s needs.
• Provide technical feedback and encourage skill development.
• Attend swim meets, team functions, and coach meetings.
• Support ODAC’s mission of excellence in competitive swimming.
Qualifications:
• Prior coaching experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Current USA Swimming coach certifications or the ability to obtain them before the start date.
