Huske, Curzan & McFadden Named ACC Swimming & Diving Scholar Athletes of the Year

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) –Stanford’s Henry McFadden has been named the 2026 Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Swimming & Diving Scholar-Athlete of the Year, while Virginia’s Claire Curzan and Stanford’s Torri Huske shared ACC Women’s Swimming & Diving Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors. The three student-athletes highlight their sport’s 2025-26 All-ACC Academic Teams, announced by the conference office on Wednesday.

In the 2025-26 season, McFadden won his second straight ACC Championship title in the 200 free and his first in the 800 free. The junior qualified for five different events at the 2026 NCAA Men’s Swimming & Diving Championships, recording podium finishes in the 800 free relay (second place) and the 200 free (third place). McFadden finished out the season as a three-time All-American.

Curzan closed out the season with six national titles and five ACC titles. At the 2026 ACC Swimming & Diving Championships, she tallied three relay and two individual titles, while recording four relay and two individual titles at the 2026 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships. The 21-time All-American, 13-time NCAA Champion and 10-time ACC Champion was named a Honda Sport Award Finalist for Swimming & Diving for the second consecutive season.

Huske, the 2026 ACC and CSCAA Women’s Swimmer of the Year, won both the 200 individual medley and 100 fly at this year’s ACC Championships. Just a few weeks later, she won three national titles (50 free, 100 free, 100 fly) and finished as the runner-up in three more events (200 free relay, 400 free relay, 200 medley relay) at the NCAAs. She is one of just four swimmers in program history to earn the maximum 28 All-America honors and was named a finalist for the 2026 Honda Sport Award.

A total of 317 student-athletes across the league were selected to the 2025-26 Swimming & Diving All-ACC Academic Team. McFadden led the 138 selections for the men, while Curzan and Huske highlighted the 179 student-athletes on the women’s side.

Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team include a 3.0-grade point average for the previous two semesters, a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career, has to have been enrolled at the institution for at least one year and the student must be classified as an undergraduate student. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s athletic contests.
