Kate Douglass ne 2024 Short Course World Championships ke pehle finals session mein apne naam ek aur world record jod diya, jo 10 saal purana tha! Tuesday ke din, Douglass ne 200m Individual Medley mein 2:01.63 ka samay banakar Katinka Hosszu ka 2014 mein banaya hua 2:01.86 ka world record tod diya.
Hosszu ka yeh record 6 December 2014 ko Doha SC World Championships mein bana tha aur lagbhag 10 saal tak akshund raha. Douglass ne ise pichle saal Melbourne SC Worlds mein 2:02.12 ke samay ke saath kareeb se challenge kiya tha, jo us samay ka dusra sabse fast swim tha aur ek American Record bhi.
