1100 Kms Swim Karke 6 Youngsters Swimmer Banayenge New World Record

Six Indian swimmers jisme ek ladki bhi include hai wo sab 17th December ko Gateway of India, Arabian Sea mein jump karenge aur world’s longest relay-swim ka record set karenge. Ye swim 1,100 kms ki hone wali hai Mumbai-Goa-Mumbai tak aisa organisers ne bataya hai.

Ye unique aur gruelling adventure sports event Vasai-Virar Open Water Sea Swimming Foundation ke dwara organised karaya jayega, Para Swimming Federation of India ke observation mein aisa event coach aur senior sailor of the Indian Navy, Madan Rai ne bataya hai.

“17th December ko sham 5 baje, Maharashtra ke Minister Deepak Kesarkar is challenging event ko flag off karenge, wo log Goa mein Fort Aguada ko touch kar ke return aayenge aur relay-swimming spectacle December 28 ko end hoga Vasai Fort, palghar mein 1,100-kms complete karne ke baad”, Rai ne IANS ko bataya.

Jo bhi relay-swimmers is event mein part le rahe hai wo sabhi masters swimmers hai jinke paas several national aur international records hai swimming mein, unhone kaha.

Wo swimmers hai: Jiya Rai, 14 aur Dhruven Naik, 17 dono hi Mumbai se hai, Raj Patil, 17, Raigad, Sampala Shelar, 21, Pune se hai, Kartik Gugle, 21 aur Rakesh kadam, 26, dono hi Vasai se hai aur sbhi ki average age 19.3 years ki hai.

Jiya- jo ki youngest aur sole female participant hai wo autism se suffer kr rhi hai aur is year unhone Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar Award bhi receive kiya hai.

Gritty challenge ko explain krte huye Rai ne kaha ki each swimmer on an average six hours tak swim karega, day and night, day ke time high seas mein unhe 7 kms away rhna hoga aur night mei 5 kms away rhna hoga safety reasons ke liye.

“Arabian Sea mein swimmers ke samne huge challenges aayenge, jisme se ek hai jellyfish ke bites ka constant threats jisse ki victim ghante tak incapacitate ho sakta hai, iske sath hi aur bhi big aur gigantic fish ya marine creatures jo ki youngsters ko injure kar sakte hai. Night ke time par temperature 20 degrees celcisu tak drop ho jaata hai iske sath hi strong winds aur powerful water-currents bhi unhe pareshan kar sakte hai.

“Four safety boats, one ship jisme logistic lifeguards honge, doctors, cabins, food etc., unhe accompany karenge is venture mein Indian Coast Guard ke sath kisi bhi emergency assistance ke liye. Indian Navy, ICG, Mumbai Port Trust, Goa Government is event ko support kar rahe hai,” Rai ne kaha.

“Successful completion ke baad, ye event Guinness Book of World Record mein enter karega as “World Longest Open Water Sea Swimming Relay”, Rai ne kaha.
