Freshman Ruslan Gaziev blasted a 1:37.74 to win the men’s 200 free, marking a season best for Gaziev, Ohio State’s fastest 200 this season, and the 5th fastest time in the Big Ten this year.
Penn State’s Ally McHugh and Virginia Tech’s Lane Stone took three events each as the Hokies hosted the Buckeyes and the Nittany Lions over the weekend.
Pickrem won the 400 IM and 100 back on Day 2 of the meet.
Ohio State’s freshmen breaststrokers threw down impressive times in the men’s 150 breast. Stefano Batista won the event with a 1:27.34, followed very closely by Jason Mathews, who finished in 1:27.46.
