Wichita Heights picked up its third Kansas 5-1A Boy’s State Swimming & Diving title Saturday, February 16th, at the Capitol Federal Natatorium in Topeka, KS. Also the team champions in 2015 and 2017, Wichita Heights did not win a single event Saturday, relying on its depth for the victory instead.
Her time of 15:36.52 ranks her 3rd all-time in the 17-18 age group, behind only Katie Ledecky and Katie Hoff.
Patton has won two Kansas HS titles in the 200 IM and two in the 100 back.

Wichita Heights emerged the victor this year, while Maize and Lenexa St. James Academy tied for 2nd in the team standings. With a couple of swims that would have won against 6A competitors, the 1A-5A State Championships proved a fast meet.
