St Louis freestyle standout Luke Christensen recently signed on the dotted line to continue his swimming career at Seattle University. Luke just finished a successful season representing Parkway West high school at the MSHSAA Championship in St. Peters, Missouri, taking 11th place in the 500 free and 10th in the 200 for the Longhorns. Luke was also an A-finalist at the Region VIII Central Sectional last spring, finishing 8th in the 1000 freestyle.
John David Williford, Luke’s Coach at Parkway Swim Club, told SwimSwam: “Luke has a very strong work ethic and drive. I believe he has much more potential to grow into as a swimmer and look forward to seeing what is able to achieve at Seattle.”
“After spending a weekend with the team, I knew that I would fit well as a Redhawk. I loved not just the team, but the coaches, the school’s awesome campus and academic program, as well as the city of Seattle. I am very excited to join the Seattle University Redhawks and continue my swimming career.”
