New Mom Ki Self-Love Khoj: Swimming Sikhkar English Channel Ko Cross Kiya

Nashik ki rahne wali Tanvi Deore (33) ne 18 saal ke gap ke baad swimming ke liye apne passion ko ak baar phir se jagaya taaki English Channel me swimming ke apne childhood dream ko fulfil karne sake. Physical, mental and logistical challenges ko face karne ke baawjood, unhone 33km ki swim successfully complete ki.

Tanvi Deore, jo ak quintessential water baby hain, kahti hain, “Main jo life ji rahi thi, wo mere liye enough nahi tha.” Bachpan me jab bhi wo pareshan hoti thi unke parents unko paani ke tub me daalkar ya use khelne ke liye paani dekar shant karte the.

Jaise-jaise wo badi hui, Tanvi ka swimming ke liye passion badhta gaya aur usne school se pahle aur baad me Nashik ke ak pool me bahot time spent kiya. Uski dedication ne use school aur district level par champion swimmer bana diya. Halanki 9th ke baad swimming pichhe rahe gayi kyuki padhai priority ban gayi.

Uske baad next 18 years education, business, marriage and raising kids ne jagah le li aur sport kahin pichhe rahe gaya. Jab unhe ye realise hua ki kya usne khud ko kahin kho diya? Self-love phir se  unhe paani ki taraf le gaya.

January 2022 me, ak cup chaay par, unhone apne husband ko apne childhood dreams me se ak ko fulfil karne ki ichha ke baare me bataya – English Channel ko tairna, England se France tak 33km se jada ki distance ka challenge.

June 2024 me unhone 17 hours and 42 minutes me Dover, UK se France tak ke unforgiving waters ko successfully swim kar cross kiya. Raste me unhe Jellyfish stings, challenging tides and notorious ‘swimmer’s grave’ ko face karna pada. Ak circuit ne unhe ak hi jagah pe 3 ghante tak fasaye rakha.

Tanvi me English Channel cross karne ke liye apne training ki shuruaat coach Shrikant Vishwanathan ke guidance me kiya, jo ak accomplished open-water swimmer hain aur jinhone open-water swimming ka triple crown complete kiya tha. Unka practice session subah 4 baje start hota tha. Routine me sudden change challenging tha, specially 3 saal ke twins ke liye. Bachche schedule ko samajhne ke liye itne chhote the ki wo nahi samajh pa rahe the ki unki maa kya karne ki koshish kar rahi hai.

Tanvi ko physically and mentally dono tarah ke challenges handle karne pade. Starting me wo 20 min se jada nahi tair pa rahi thi. Dhire dhire practice ke saath wo 7-8 ghante tairne lagi. Baad me unhone open water me practice start kar di.

Unke father ki blessings nahi thi isme. Wo nahi chahte the ki Tanvi apni life risk me daale. Lekin Tanvi determined and persuasive thi. Jab letters ka asar  nahi hua toh unhone apne coach ko apne father ko convince karne ke liye kaha. Jab coach ne unse baat ki aur unhe yakeen dilaya ki life ko koi risk nhi hoga, unka dhyan rakha jayega, tab wo convince ho gaye.

Tanvi ne seven other swimmers ke saath, shaandar tarike se apni swimming start ki, jo English Channel ko conquer karne ki koshish kar rahe the. Swimming ke dauran jo unhone biggest challenge face kiya wo tha Jellyfish ke stings. 100 jellyfishes ne unhe sting kiya tha. 11-12 ghante ki swimming ke baad weather turn le chuka tha. Almost 3 ghante tak wo isme fasi rahi. Wo thak chuki thi, give up karna chahti thi but unke coach ki baaton ne unhe support kiya. Unke morale ko boost karne ke liye unke husband ne unhe
