For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Tyler Ray from Pinckney, Michigan has announced his verbal commitment to the University of Michigan for the 2022-23 school year.

“I am so excited to announce my commitment to the University of Michigan where I will continue my academic and athletic career! I am so stoked to be a part of a program with so much history and so many achievements in and out of the pool! I recognize that I could not have fulfilled this dream without the help of my family, coaches, friends, teachers, and teammates to push me along the way! I also want to thank the U of M coaching staff for giving me this amazing opportunity! GO BLUE!!!”

A senior at Pinckney High School, Ray won the 100 fly (49.23) and was runner-up in the 100 back (51.09) at the 2021 Michigan High School D3 State Swimming and Diving Championships. Earlier in July, he swam at Eric Namesnik Memorial and notched PBs in the 50m free (24.74), 100m free (54.79), 200m free (1:59.29), and 200m IM (2:17.14).
