Iron Horse Aquatics is a new, school district-owned team that started in October of 2021. In just under a year, we have grown to over 150 swimmers with many more expressing interest in joining the team. The team practices at the 2 district owned and operated 50m natatoriums that sit back-to-back to each other. There is plenty of room to grow in an area that is well-known for building excellent swim programs.

General job description:

Assist in the direction and management of the USA Swimming (USAS) club team as well as coach the top-level age group training groups. In coordination with the FISD Head Club Coach, oversee the comprehensive development of the 14 and under training groups, institute a comprehensive plan for their immediate and long-term successful development in the sport and as athletes. Assist in the supervising and mentoring of all assistant USAS coaches. Work with the Aquatic leadership team to develop and grow a districtwide water safety program to ensure that the district has the ability to train and retain lifeguards and learn-to-swim instructors to best serve the needs of our facilities and the patrons of FISD.
