The Falcon Pointe Flyers are looking to hire a rockstar set of Coaches for a new summer swim club!
Our community is located in North Pflugerville and will be practicing at our neighborhood facility with a 25 yard outdoor pool and surrounding deck for dryland work.
The positions (Head and Assistant Coaches) are part-time summer seasonal positions.
These roles are perfect for current swim coaches, teachers, college students, and individuals looking for a seasonal change:
- Summer swim season runs from May 1st to June 25th
- Additional work is available in surrounding weeks (season prep, scheduling, and closing ceremonies)
- Tentative practice times are in the afternoon in May and mornings in June
Head Coach Duties (fulfilled with support from the FPF Swim Team Board Members):
- Plan and implement daily swim practices for groups of children (ages 5-17)
- Teach proper stroke technique and encourage a love for swimming
- Apply weekly skills assessments for swim meet recommendations for the FPF Board
- Communicate coaching and volunteer needs to the FPF Volunteer Coordinator
- Coordinate Assistant Coaches’ schedule for practices, meets, and additional duties
- Facilitate daily swim practices for approximately 15 hours per week (TBD, Monday through Friday)
- Assist FPF Board & Volunteer crews for swim meets on Saturdays (8 hrs: ~6:30am to 2:30pm)
- Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Certification preferred
- Red Cross Lifeguard certification required
- Pay Range: $22-$25/hr based on experience

- Assist in planning and implementing daily swim practices for groups of children (ages 5-17)
- Assist in teaching proper stroke technique and encourage a love for swimming
- Apply weekly skills assessments for swim meet recommendations for the FPF Board
- Assist the Head Coach in communicating needs to the FPF Volunteer Coordinator
- Assist with daily swim practices for approximately 15 hours per week (TBD, Monday through Friday)
- Assist FPF Board & Volunteer crews for swim meets on Saturdays (8 hrs: ~6:30am to 2:30pm)
- Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Certification preferred
- Red Cross Lifeguard certification required
- Pay Range: $17-$20/hr based on experience
Additional Skills for Head & Assistant Coaches:
- Experience with competitive swimming, summer swim leagues, and/or swim coaching required
- Develops clear communication with Head Coach, Swimmers, Parents, & FPF Board
- Maintains a positive attitude and enthusiasm for building life-long swimmers
- Focused on team development & building positive community involvement
- Creative, solution-oriented problem solver
