Panama City Swim Team is seeking a Full-time Head Age Group Coach. This position will directly coach our Junior Group (11-14 years old) and one Age Group 2 group (9-12 years old). This position will also oversee the PCST age group programming, as well as additional admin overseeing special programming such as lessons and/or Pre-Comp.
PCST is a year-round swimming program, located in Panama City, FL, . Panama City Beach was named a top 3 beach the United States by TripAdvisor and has 27 miles of beautiful beaches. PCST is a not for profit, parent run organization, that was founded with the mission of building and promoting youth swimming in Bay County, FL.
The primary program run by PCST is the year-round competitive swim team, which operates out of 3 locations. Swimmers on the competitive team race in swimming competitions (meets) at the local, state, and national level. In addition to the year-round competitive swim team, PCST also offers Swim Lessons for new swimmers, Masters workouts for adults seeking fitness swim, and Pre-Competitive programs designed to teach and prepare young athletes foundational swimming skills, as well as introduce the intricacies of the sport.
Responsibilities:
- Write, oversee and coach daily workouts for assigned training groups
- Arrives on time to set up and prepare for daily practices.
- Attends or direct swim meets as assigned
- Communicates with the staff effectively.
- Communicates effectively with group parents, appropriately responds to emails, promotes the mission of PCST.
Qualifications:
- Competitive swimming experience at the club or collegiate level.
- Current USA Swimming coach certifications.
- Eagerness to expand your knowledge and understanding of the sport of swimming technique and training.
- Enthusiastic coaching style, works effectively with children.
- Strong communication and administrative skills. Know how or ability to learn Team Unify.
- Experience with Hytek Meet Manager or as Meet Director encouraged.
