FAST Falcons Assistant Coach Position
The FAST Falcons (https://www.gomotionapp.com/team/fastfalcons/page/home), located in Ocala, Florida, is seeking a highly motivated, hard-working individual for the position of Assistant Coach. Only candidates with a strong work ethic and passion for the sport should apply. This is a full time salaried position with benefits. The intended start date is August 12th.
The Assistant Coach will lead or assist with two groups (age group and/or senior). In addition, the Assistant Coach will be responsible for administrative duties associated with competitive swimming, such as meet entries, season planning, and parent education. All applicants must understand the importance of teamwork and will be committed to helping our program advance.
FAST trains in the newly opened Florida Aquatics Swimming and Training facility (https://floridafast.com/) . Our indoor pool is a 10 lane, 50-meter pool. Our outdoor pool is the 2020 Olympic Trials warm down pool featuring 8 50m lanes and 6 25m lanes. We also have a state-of-the-art dryland center, media room, and classrooms.
The FAST Falcons is a new team that started in the spring of 2022. We currently have 175 swimmers on our competitive roster, ranging from US Open/ Junior National qualifiers to swim school graduates.
Required Qualifications:
- Understands and supports a long-term athlete development model.
- Has excellent communication and administrative skills.
- Successfully passes the USA Swimming and FAST Falcons background checks.
- Minimum 5 years experience in competitive swimming and/or coaching.
