Williams College, a Division III Institution and a member of the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC), is accepting applications for the position of Diving Coach of the nationally ranked Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving programs. This part-time, 9-month, regular benefits eligible appointment reporting directly to the Head Coach of Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving in all phases of the Men’s and Women’s diving program. This includes, but is not limited to, coaching, organizing and creating practices for the divers (in the pool and out), recruiting and administrative duties such as coordinating training, assisting with team travel, and meet management responsibilities as assigned by the head coach.
Bachelor’s degree and past diving/coaching experience required (collegiate coaching experience preferred). Successful candidates will be self-motivated and possess the ability to teach, coach, recruit and retain highly talented student-athletes who will thrive in a challenging academic environment; in addition to a knowledge and commitment to NCAA and NESCAC rules. Commitment to the student-athlete, passion for the sport, attention to detail, excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills are required. The diving coach will represent the college and its athletics programs with honesty, integrity and sportsmanship at all times and will work to develop positive professional relationships with officials, league personnel and coaching colleagues. The possibility of running a youth program is available.
