Club Kick Start: Age Group Swim Team Coach

Job Description:

The ideal candidate needs to be energetic, knowledgeable, and able to communicate positively with parents, fellow coaches and swimmers of all ages.  Successful candidate will primarily coach and help manage our Competitive Swim Team, Pre-Competitive Swim Team, and Summer league youth swim teams.  Additional coaching opportunities could include teaching elite private and small group lessons as well as swim clinics. Must be versatile and do whatever the team needs.

DUTIES:

Responsible for effectively coaching one or more age group levels as well as setting a strong positive, enthusiastic and highly energetic coaching tone for all age groups. Coaching will occur on deck and at times, in the water.

-Oversees and manages process of meet selection, meet entries, and scheduling and coordinating of home and out of town meets. Needs to be present and on deck at swim meets.

-Responsible for independently working outside of swim practice and meet times to complete admin tasks and meet entry deadlines.

-Demonstrate superb leadership for the youth in our program.  You will serve as a coach and a mentor and will be responsible for swimmer goal setting as well as fostering the discipline, work ethic, and attitude needed to be an elite athlete.

-Responsible for coaching all ages and skill levels

-Responsible for coaching private and small group lessons

-Work as a member of a cohesive coaching team.  Must communicate, consult and work closely with owner and team administrator.  This includes attending meetings with reports and updates on the team’s performance and progress.

Must communicate positively and efficiently with parents, fellow coaches and swimmers through email, team website, and coach newsletters.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

(REQUIRED)

-Must have been a high performance, year-round, competitive swimmer

-Experience and a proven positive track record for working with youth swimmers

-Must hold USA Age group Coaching certification

-Ability to work, train, and instruct multiple practice groups.

-Experience with Hytek, TeamUnify, and/or Swim Meet Manager

-Strong customer service skills.

-Background check

(PREFERRED)

-Lesson Certified

-Collegiate swimming experience

 

COMPENSATION:

This is a part-time position with flexible hours. There is an opportunity for a full-time position, based on performance. Position starts immediately with additional summer opportunities from May 15th to August 15th.

 

Competitive compensation commensurate with experience.
