South Carolina Swim Club – Charleston, SC
Positions available – Full-time and Part-time
We are looking for senior and age group level coaches
The South Carolina Swim Club (SCSC), a 501(c)3 charitable organization, is searching for aspiring swim coaches to support our club’s philosophy and create an environment that uses the sport of swimming to mold great people. The program of 300+ swimmers operates out of 3 pools in the greater Charleston, SC area; 1x 50-meter pool and 2x 25-yards pools. The candidates will answer to the Head Coach and/or Division Leads and be responsible for administering daily training, communication with athletes and parents, meet entries, and coaching at meets. Additional job responsibilities will be assessed based on the candidates experience. A strong candidate must be able to foster a training and competition environment that is safe, objective, inclusive, positive, and character-building for athletes and staff.
Job Qualifications:
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Operates well in a collaborative work environment
- Computer proficiency, including email, Internet navigation, and Microsoft Office software
Compensation
Dependent on candidates experience and work responsibilities
Work Conditions, Environment, and Physical Requirements:
Must have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods; exhibit manual dexterity to dial a phone, see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels, outdoors and on the phone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand you clearly; the physical readiness to lift up to 25 pounds to shoulder height and 50 pounds to waist height; and to bend, to stoop, to sit on the floor, to climb stairs, to walk and to reach overhead.
