Are you passionate about aquatics, water safety, and inspiring others? We’re on the lookout for a dynamic Aquatics Supervisor to lead our vibrant MAC Swim School and Lifeguard programs! This is a full-time, fully on-site position.
 

The Role 

As the Aquatics Supervisor, you’ll enthusiastically oversee our swim school and lifeguard programs, empowering our team and swimmers to achieve excellence in aquatic skills and safety. You’ll be at the forefront of creating a safe and enjoyable experience for our members while fostering a culture of growth and motivation among our staff.
 

What You’ll Do

  • Lead with Passion: Motivate and guide our instructors and lifeguards to ensure top-notch programming and safety standards, stepping in on deck as needed. 
  • Build Relationships: Provide exceptional customer service, connecting with members through emails, phone calls, and in-person interactions. 
  • Stay Ahead: Commit to your own professional growth while keeping our team updated on the latest trends and techniques in aquatics. 
  • Community Advocate: Promote drowning prevention and water safety in our community, making a real difference in people’s lives. 
  • Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations, ensuring our aquatic programs run smoothly and effectively, including certifying all instructors and lifeguards in line with American Red Cross standards. 
  • Staff Management: Hire, coach, and inspire swim school and lifeguard staff, handle payroll, and conduct performance reviews. 
  • Training & Development: Conduct engaging training sessions to keep staff sharp and informed, while collaborating with the Aquatics Manager to enhance our swim school and lifeguard budget and curriculum. 
  • Event Coordination: Organize and lead our annual water safety event, making it a highlight of the year!

What You’ll Bring 

  • A Bachelor’s degree. 
  • Current Lifeguard, CPR-PR, and First Aid certifications. 
  • A minimum of three years of lifeguard and swim instruction experience, with prior supervisory experience a plus. 
  • Ability to work flexible and long hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. 
  • Ability to fulfill essential job functions including, but not limited to, walking, sitting, pulling, pushing, swimming, and the ability to rescue and lift swimmers out of the pool. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent communication skills.
