The University of Findlay (www.findlay.edu) is seeking a full-time aquatics director/assistant swimming & diving coach, responsible for the complete management, supervision and coordination of the operation of the Sink Natatorium (i.e. scheduling of pool hours, lifeguards, etc.). Assist in all management aspects of the men’s and women’s NCAA intercollegiate swimming and diving programs in accordance with institutional, NCAA Division II and Conference bylaws and regulations.
A bachelor’s degree is required, master’s preferred, with 18 months’ to three years’ of related coaching experience. The ideal candidate must possess knowledge of intercollegiate athletics, rules and regulations of athletic associations and conferences including eligibility, recruiting and certification; skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff and the public; strong organizational, oral and written communication, time management and interpersonal skills; knowledge and skill in using integrated software systems and Microsoft applications (Hy-Tekch Team & Meet Manager, Colorado Timing System, etc.); ability to mentally and physically perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation; ability to protect confidential information and present a professional demeanor; team-oriented individual with willingness to take initiative and be flexible, and the ability to work under occasional pressure; ability to work effectively with an ethnic, cultural and diverse student population; and a valid driver’s license, CPR/AED/First Aid/Lifeguard certification and safe driving record.
