Israeli Record-holder Daniel Krichevsky to Swim at Auburn in 2025-26

Daniel Krichevsky from Hod Hasharon, Israel, has signed with Auburn University for the 2025-26 school year and beyond.

Krichevsky specializes in the 100/200 free and 100 fly. He represented Israel at the 2022 European Junior Championships, where he placed 6th in the 50 fly and 7th in the 100 fly, earning a PB of 24.30 in the former.

He clocked a trio of LCM best times in the 50/100/200 free at Israel’s World Championships Trials in May 2025, finishing 4th in the 50 (22.83), 2nd in the 100 (48.96), and 4th in the 200 (1:47.82 in semis).

In SCM, Krichevsky broke the Israeli national records in the 100 free and 200 free at the Israeli Winter Championship in December 2024. He won the 200 by 1.8 seconds with 1:43.24. He also won the 100 by half a second with 47.14, but his national record of 46.90 came leading off the Hapoel Hod Hasharon 4×100 free relay.

Krichevsky’s best converted times would have made the ‘B’ finals of the 100 free and 200 free at 2025 SEC Championships; his 100 fly time would have been on the ‘A/B’ final bubble. The Auburn men finished in 8th place out of 11 teams.

Krichevsky will join Ari Azrad, Jack Starrett, Luke Bedsole, Luke Waldrep, Mack Schumann, and Maston Ballew in the Auburn class of 2029.
