Four-Day Ticket Packages Now Available for 2016 US Olympic Trials

OMAHA, Neb. – Following record-setting sales of all-session tickets for the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming, four-day packages are now on sale at ticketmaster.com.

Two options are available: the opening four days from Sunday, June 26, through Wednesday, June 29, or the final four days from Thursday, June 30, through Sunday, July 3. The plans include tickets for each session over the four-day period. Ticket packages are $195, $250 or $305 per ticket for four days.

USA Swimming and Omaha Sports Commission officials said sales continue to run well ahead of the 2012 event and noted the lower bowl of CenturyLink Center Omaha is nearly sold out for the event. All-session ticket packages went on sale June 29.

“Both four-day packages include great opportunity to watch Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte, Missy Franklin, Katie Ledecky and the next wave of Olympians compete multiple times,” USA Swimming Assistant Executive Director Mike Unger said. “Positions on the U.S. Olympic Team will be on the line every day, and for those unable to make an eight-day commitment, our four-day packages offer a tremendous way to experience what is sure to be a memorable event.”

President of the Omaha Sports Commission Harold Cliff said the four-day packages offer a great value, and like the all-session packages, tickets are fully transferable amongst family and friends, so the opportunity is there to split the cost of packages with others.

“At the pace tickets have been selling we encourage people to purchase their four-day packages soon so they are guaranteed a seat to catch all the action in Omaha,” Cliff said. “These packages can be shared among groups of fans, creating an economical way to watch America’s greatest swimmers compete for a spot on the U.S. Olympic Team.”

Cliff said hotel room demand has already exceeded the 2012 total, and Cliff expects the economic impact of the 2016 Olympic Swim Trials to Omaha and Nebraska will unquestionably be the best yet.

Tickets to the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming can be purchased through any Ticketmaster outlet nationwide or online atticketmaster.com. Tickets also can be purchased at the CenturyLink Center box office or by calling 800-745-3000. VISA, a long-standing supporter of USA Swimming, is the exclusive method of online purchase.
