DAVIE, Fla. – The FIU swimming and diving program wrapped up a successful weekend of competition, as the swimming team split results in its tri-meet against Nova Southeastern and Lynn, while the diving squad dominated at the South Florida Diving Invitational.
On the diving side, FIU swept the platform event, led by Kristina Keenan, who won with a score of 257.75 — earning an NCAA Zone cut. Brooke Megdall placed second (235.60), also with a zone cut, while Ruska Lehtonen finished third (218.70) and Sydney Soto took fifth (203.95).
Lehtonen also set a personal best in the 1-meter with a zone cut mark of 281.55, followed by Keenan in second (276.60) and freshman Sofia Torstensson in sixth (236.10).
In the 3-meter, Megdall claimed the win with a score of 275.90, while Soto earned a personal-best third-place finish (266.35) and Torstensson placed fifth (258.10).

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic men’s and women’s diving teams wrapped up the two-day South Florida Diving Invitational hosted by FIU, sweeping both competitions.
Junior Trevor Kuhn won two of the three events over the course of the two-day meet, victorious on the platform and 1mtr diving competitions.
Miles Buchart was the meet’s highest individual scorer with 37.00 total points. On the women’s side, senior Grace Powell totaled 31.00 total individual points, tied for most on the women’s side.
