Brown Swim & Dive Announces Collin Pollard As Head Diving Coach

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Mary Ann Lippitt Head Coaching Chair in Women’s Swimming and Diving Mitch Dalton and Ollie ’50 & Kay Patrell Men’s Swimming and Diving Coaching Chair Kevin Norman have announced the addition of Collin Pollard as the program’s new head diving coach.

“Collin brings an exceptional combination of experience, energy, and authenticity to Brown,” Dalton said. “He has spent more than a decade helping develop divers from the junior national level through NCAA and international competition, and his network and reputation throughout the diving community are second to none. Just as importantly, he is a relationship-driven coach who invests deeply in his athletes. We believe Collin will play a significant role in establishing Brown as one of the premier diving programs in the Ivy League and beyond.”

A 2016 graduate of USC, Pollard comes to College Hill after serving as the Interim Head Diving Coach at Cal in 2019 and after being an Assistant Coach at Cal since 2024. Pollard was a Pac-12 Champion in the 10-meter platform (2016) and an Olympic trial semifinalist (2016).

Pollard has over a decade of coaching experience across the developmental, junior olympic, and collegiate levels. At Cal, Pollard has coached multiple All-Americans at the NCAA Championships and multiple ACC Champions.

He has helped prepare divers for international competitions such as the World Aquatics Championships (2025), World University Games (2025), Junior World Championships (2024), PanAm Aquatics Championships (2025), as well as 2019 and 2025 NCAA Division 1 Swimming and Diving Championships, and USA Diving Senior/Junior National Championships.
