IU Water Polo Season Preview: The Defenders

After a long offseason, the 2016 NCAA water polo season is right around the corner. The Hoosiers are building from a successful 2015 season, finishing with a No. 11 national ranking and amidst a three-way tie at the top of the CWPA.

St Louis Men, Women Beat Out Evansville

The St. Louis men and women won their respective dual meets against Evansville this weekend. The men earned a 206-75 win. The women captured the meet with a 182-92 score.

Vermont’s Cowlie, Preston Earn America East Honors

Sophomore Shannon Cowley and senior Maggie Preston swept the America East weekly awards for the Vermont women’s swimming & diving program. Cowley was named the Swimmer of the Week on Tuesday, while Preston won the Diver of the Week award for the fourth time this season.

Votava’s 6 Pool Records Lead Minnesota Sweep of Denver, BYU

Krueger named MAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week

Senior Sara Krueger led the RedHawks to a 178-118 victory over Cincinnati on Wednesday night. Krueger led two different 1-2-3 finishes for the RedHawks. She finished first in the 50-yard freestyle (24.22), with seniors Natalie Rohr (24.62) and Gabby Veri (24.72) right behind her.

Bryant’s Rice Named NEC Rookie of the Week for 2nd Time

Rice’s busy weekend at the WPI Invitational resulted in an individual win and shares of four relay victories. She flew through the 100 freestyle, clocking in at 52.37 to claim first place at the 11-team meet.
