Navi Mumbi ke satellite city se 5 swimmers ne Chennai mein huye Khelo India Youth Games mein represent kiya tha aur wapas aaye us game se toh top medals ke sath.

Maharashtra contingent ne total 27 medals jeeta, jisme se Navi Mumbai ke swimmers ne show ko dominate karte huye total mein se 12 medals jeete. City ke leading swimmer Rishabh Das jo ki ek student hai Father Agnel School, Vashi ke unhone sabse jyada akele hi seven medals jeeta.

All city swimmers jo ki state sontimgent ka part the wo sabhi under-18 age group se the aur yahi ek category thi hi jo ki tournament mein include ki gai thi.

Medal tally mein front par aa kar lead kiya Rishabh ne jinhone akele hi Navi Mumbai ko seven medals jitwaya jisme se five individual medals tha aur 2 team relay. Unhone 50m backstroke, 50m and 100m freestyle events mein gold medal jeeta. 200m backstroke event mein silver aur 100m backstroke event mein bronze medal jeeta. Unhone 4*100 freestyle aur medley relays meim team Maharashtra ka part rah kar bhi 2 gold medals jeeta. Unke teammate Shlok Khopade ne ek silver medal jeeta 200m backstroke mein aur ek gold medal jeeta 4 x 100 medley relay event mein.

Hiba Chougle from Avalon Heights School, jo ki trainee hai Agnels pool mein unhone  silver medal jeeta 50m breaststroke mein. Pratishtha Dangi ne bhi ek silver medal jeeta 100m backstroke mein aur ek silver jeeta 4 x 100 medley relay mein. Ahaviah Gandhi (13) youngest swimmers mein se ek the jo ki select huye the aur 200m backstroke mein finalist bhi bane the.

Khelo India Youth Games ke liye swimmers ko merit se select kiya gaya tha under-14 aur under-17 categories se nationals mein se.
