Kathryn Eckhart:
Kathryn, better know to her teammates as Kathy, was born and raised in Houston, Texas; and she won’t let you forget that she’s a true Texan girl. She grew up swimming in Houston, and continued her swimming career in high school at Cypress Creek. At Cypress Creek she was a twelve time All-American, and a state champion in the 50 free her freshman year. Along with these accolades, she was also a three-time Scholastic All-American before continuing her career at Duke. Kathy has continued her sprint free and back career for the Blue Devils, making sure that she is always training in lane one with the sprint group.

While in Houston, Kathy swims for CY Fair Swim Club under Clayton Caige.
College:
2012-2013:
During her freshman year, Kathy was a part of the 200 free, 400 free and 200 medley relays for the Blue Devils at the ACC Championship meet. She also competed in the 50 and 100 free, along with the 100 back at the ACC Championship meet, making finals in both the 100 free and back, and getting best times in all three of her events.
2013-2014:
Her sophomore year, Kathy was a part of both the ACC and NCAA team. She competed in the 50 and 100 free, 100 back, 200 free relay and 400 free relay. She was a part of the NCAA qualifying 200 free relay that also placed fifth at the conference meet. As for her individual events, she scored for the Blue Devils in both the 50 and 100 free at the ACC Championship meet.
Personal:
Kathy is majoring in Public Policy at Duke with hopes of working in this field after graduating.
