2017-2018
At his 1st ACC Championship, Izzo finished fourth in the 100 free (42.69), seventh in the 50 free (19.37) and eighth in the 100 fly (46.48). He was also a member of the runner-up 200 medley relay.
At his 1st NCAA Championships, Izzo swam the 50 free (47th, 20.06) and 100 free (40th, 44.06).
2018-2019
Izzo continued to be a contributor for the wolf pack, placing sixth in the 50 free (19.45) and 11th in the 100 fly (45.92) and 100 free (42.95) at the conference meet. He won an ACC title with the 400 medley relay team at the ACC Championships which logged an ACC meet record time (3:03.26).
At the NCAA Championships, he was a member of the NCAA runner-up 200 free relay at the NCAA Championships. Izzo swam in the prelims with the 400 free relay, but was not part of the finals lineup.
