Delaney Lagrew:
Delaney was born and raised in Florida where he began swimming for…. Delaney continued his swimming career by joining his high school swim team at Pine Crest in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As a senior he was a state finalist in the 100 free and 100 back, along with helping his team’s 200 and 400 free relay to runner-up state finishes (courtesy of goduke.com). His four years at Pine Crest, he led his team to second place finishes at the state meet each year, as well as helping them to be district and regional champions all four years. He was also All-American and Scholastic All-American both as a junior and senior before heading off to train with the sprint freestyle group at Duke.

In Florida, Delaney was a part of Pine Crest Swimming where he swam under Jay Fitzgerald and Mariusz Podkoscienly.
College:
2012-2013:
His freshman year, Delaney had season bests in the 50 and 200 free at his championship Cavalier Invitational.
2013-2014:
As a sophomore, Delaney had life time bests in the 50 and the 200 free at the Cavalier Invitational.
Personal:
Delaney is a part of the pre-medicine program at Duke, while majoring in neuroscience. He hopes to attend medical school after graduation so he can go on to become a doctor.
