In the finals of the 200 IM, Texas commit Audrey Derivaux swam the 2nd fastest 200 IM in the history of the girls’ 15-16 age group, touching in a final time of 1:53.87.
Splits:
- Fly: 24.36
- Back: 28.18 (52.54)
- Breast: 34.11 (1:26.65)
- Free: 27.22 (1:53.87)
Derivaux entered the 200 IM final here with her prelims swim of 1:55.53, just more than a second ahead of Charlotte Crush in 2nd (1:56.80).
Crush led Derivaux for the first four lengths of this race by nearly two seconds (50.65 to 52.54), but surged past Crush on the breaststroke leg to erase that deficit and put Crush on the defensive, outsplitting Cush 34.11 to 36.69 to take a near seven-tenths lead into the final stretch.
The final 50 further extended the lead to a full second, earning Derivaux the win and making her the 2nd-fastest 15-16 performer in the event. Derivaux is the owner of the 13-14 National Age Group Record in 1:55.73.
This time lowers her lifetime best of 1:55.24 from this meet last year, and moves her just under half a second off of Tegan O’Dell’s NAG of 1:53.38. Derivaux will not age up until August of 2026, giving her just over eight months to lower her time sown to that standard.
Crush’s performance still marked her fastest of her career by just over a second and a half from 2024 in 1:56.44.

Splits for her previous best time:
24.54 24.54
28.34 52.88
34.49 1:27.37
27.87 1:55.24
Wow.
The future of American women swimmers looks bright.
