Mijatovic was out under his old record from the start and saw the biggest difference on his first and last 50s as his first and last 50 totaled a difference of -0.52 seconds.
With his swim tonight, he moves up one spot to be the #13 American in the event all-time as he passed Jake Mitchell who had a best time of a 3:45.38. He already is the fastest 18 and under ever for the US as the 17-18 NAG stands at a 3:46.01.
Nine of the top 16 swimmers in the event will have been Texas/Longhorn Aquatics swimmers in some point in their careers at Mijatovic, the top ranked recruit for 2027, committed to Texas at the end of October. Leon Marchand, Carson Foster, and Luke Hobson all train out of Texas currently.

Best collegiate Texas swimmer isn’t even at Texas yet

Nope Danantara, the true WJR is 3:40.59 !
I’m calling it. he’s breaking the WJR before he goes to highschool.
He’s almost 17 and not in high school? You can graduate school at 17 in Australia (I graduated with a 16 year old in my year)
he’s in high school this dude is just confusedf
does that includes building the time machine?
He’s not in high school at already 16??
Hopefully he will drop another pb in the 200.
I think he had more to give, but ppl acting like dropping half a second means hes washed, like what? He might be like a little tapered rn but he notmally does better end of ssn idk about the wjr this year but in two years??? I think he will be 3:43 befoe he turns 18 so idk about it I would just say i think he could have gone faster in the middle with his closing 50
#slow #swimfaster #sixsecondsoffworldrecordgetfasterbuddy
he’s 16, not 26.
