LAKR Swim Club’s Rylee Erisman wrapped up her weekend of racing in style, turning in yet another top performance. She won the 200 IM by almost three seconds, blasting into the wall in 2:13.55 to log the 2nd-fastest time in the girls’ 15-16 200 IM this season. Erisman dropped 1.74 from her previous lifetime best, also bumping herself up to #22 on the ranking of all-time top 100 times in her age group in the process.
Erisman’s winning performance marked her fourth victory of the meet, having already won the 100 free (53.80) and 200 free (1:57.44), as well as helping her team to a win in the 200 meter free relay (1:44.57).
14-year-old Abigail Burke from T2 Aquatics claimed the championship title in the 50 free, throwing down a best time of 26.08 to shave .22 off of the time that she had posted just a month earlier. Burke’s race marked the 4th-fastest time in the girls 13-14 age group this season and tied her at #29 on the all-time top 100 ranking alongside Maxine Parker and Teagan O’Dell.
After taking the runner-up spot in both the 400 and 800 free, Sarasota Sharks’ Clare Custer secured her first victory of the week. She won the 1500 free in 16:44.98, dropping over four seconds to log the 5th-fastest time in the girls’ 17-18 1500 free this season and secure the championship title by nearly six seconds.
SwimAtlanta’s Collin Holgerson continued to shine, posting a top performance in the 200 back. He turned in a best time of 1:59.45 to log his first ever sub-2:00 performance in the event. Holgerson was also the only competitor in the field to go under 2:00 in Ocala, with runner-up Denzo Senekal racing into the wall in 2:01.00.
Holgerson had a busy night during Saturday’s finals, as he also contested the 50 breast. He took 3rd in 28.45, close behind Giulian Martin (28.44) and Marcos Egri-Martin (28.31).
After posting the 8th-fastest time across all five Futures meets in the 100 free (50.24) on day 2, unattached River Paulk prevailed in the 50 free in 22.33. Paulk raced into the wall .45 ahead of runner-up Julian Granison and shaved another .15 off of the lifetime best that he posted during prelims.
Other Day 3 Highlights
- Bolles School Sharks’ Lucero Mejia Arce won the 200 back in 2:15.66, dropping 1.30 from her previous best time and logging the only time under 2:16 tonight.
- Rachel McAlpin of the Mississippi Makos Swim Team dominated the competition in the 50 breast, throwing down a time of 31.21 to mark the only sub-32 second performance of the night.
- Unattached Logan Robinson picked up his third victory of the meet in the 200 IM, posting a 2:01.68 to knock 1.87 off of his personal best time.
- Sarasota Sharks’ Liam Custer won the 800 free in 8:11.27, adding about five seconds to his best time and narrowly beating out runner-up Jacob Hamlin (8:12.42).

it’s not related but Zionsville Swim Club just broke the NAG record for the 13-14 200 free relay at indiana state lcm champs. excellent group of boys that swam it- imma be the first to say that group might beat carmel in a few years.
