46-Year-Old Gabrielle Rose Gives Emotional Interview After Going ANOTHER Personal Best

2024 U.S. OLYMPIC TRIALS

After recording a personal best in the 100 Breast prelims (1:08.43) and qualifying for the semi-finals, 46-year-old Gabrielle Rose recorded another personal best (1:08.32) in the semi-finals, finishing 11th overall. After the race, Rose gave gratitude to all those who have supported her from near and far, thanking her coach, her family, and the club team she coaches.

It’s got to be interesting to be swimming at Trials and the person next to you is 1. old enough to be your mom, 2. in better shape than you physically, and 3. kicks your butt!

it’s crazy that the last time she was at the Olympics was more than half of her life ago. She wasn’t even 23 yet at her second Olympic Games

He said he spoke with Matthew… it seems her father has passed away… so for her to have these great swims on Father’s Day… knowing that her father would be so proud of her and loving all of it.

Congratulations to her on her Trials swims and personal bests. It was nice to hear about her changing perspectives that naturally come with getting older, and her reflections on her Dad on Father’s Day. Very nice interview (and the 200 still to come..)
