The volume of verbal commitments continues to increase as we approach National Letter of Intent Signing Period (November 11-18, 2015). Arizona State, Auburn, Florida, Georgia Tech, and Louisville were the destinations we heard most often. We saw a number of big names announce their intentions this week, among them:
- Michael Jensen – Cal – Our #2 recruit in the boys’ high school class of 2016 announced he would be going to Cal this week. That is a nice get for the Bears who will be graduating their best sprinters after this season. Jensen joins fellow commits Albert Gwo and Jack Xie in the class of 2020.
- Becca Mann – USC – Our #3 in the girls’ class has opted for the left coast, and she told the world in style… Trojan style, that is. All decked out in Trojan gear -and by that we mean in the gear of a warrior from Ancient Troy- Mann simply tweeted, “#FightOn”.
- Claire Adams – Texas – The #5 recruit in the girls’ class, Adams is a Junior World Record-holder in the 100m back, and a strong pick-up for the Longhorns. Texas also got a verbal from #18 Lauren Case.
- Tommy Cope – Michigan – Cope is SwimSwam’s #15, and a great fit for Mike Bottom’s program with his breadth of talent. He joins Charlie Swanson, Jacob Montague, Jake Herremans, James Jones, and Robert Zofchak, who have also committed to the Wolverines.
- Asia Seidt – Kentucky – Seidt is the #19 girl on our list of girls in the class of 2016, and an excellent catch for the Wildcats, who had also landed Ali Galyer and Madison Winstead previously.
