Canadian record holder Katerine Savard will be looking to add another championship title to her belt this week at the Toronto 2015 Pan American Games.

Savard will be swimming both the 4x100m medley relay and the 100m fly. In the 100m fly, Savard is the deffinite favourite entering the event as the seventh fastest swimmer in the world this season.

Savard clocked in at 57.76 on the Mare Nostrum tour to better the mark she set at the Canadian Trials in April. With that time, she’s the fastest swimmer from the Americas this season.

Fellow Canadian Noemie Thomas and American college-star Kelsi Worrell will be her closest competitors this weekend. Thomas recently was a no-show in the 200m fly final. Swimswam was told the reasoning for this is because she wasn’t feeling well.

The 100m fly final will take place on Thursday July 16.
