YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties Appoints New Head Coach

The YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties has announced Chris Brookover as Competitive Swim Director and Head Coach. Brookover brings over 30 years of competitive swimming experience to this position where he will lead administrative and coaching duties for the Y’s competitive and developmental swim teams.

Most recently, Brookover served as Head/Assistant Swimming Coach for Jersey Wahoos Swim Club in Mt. Laurel where he worked with swimmers of all ages on proper stroke mechanics, dryland training and meet preparation.

His extensive swim background includes coaching Division 1 Collegiate Level with University of Wyoming and Colorado State University. He is a member of the International Swim Coaches Association and an honorary coach for Peak Performance Swim Camps. He also served as President of the Tri-County Swim Pool Association.

“We are pleased to welcome Chris to the YMCA team. His extensive background in competitive swimming will help us take our competitive swim program to the next level,” said Tim Kerrihard, President and CEO of the YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties.

Brookover resides in Cherry Hill with his wife and their three children.
