Top 8 Qualifiers:
Louisville’s Caroline Larsen took the first circle-seeded heat with the only sub-27 swim of the heat, clocking 26.72, as the only to make the ‘A’ final from that heat.
In the penultimate heat, Torri Huske notched 26.84 to get the edge over Lily Christianson (26.90), Charlotte Crush (26.94), and Liberty Clark (26.99), with all four advancing.
Coming off her stunning world record in last night’s 50m free, Kate Douglass threw down a near lifetime-best 25.31 to claim the top seed en route to winning the final heat.
Several swimmers were seeded with 100 fly times rather than 50 fly times, making heat two a bit of a sleeper. Claire Curzan clocked 25.88, the only swimmer under 27 in the heat, with that time holding up for the second-quickest of the session.
Erika Pelaez found herself in a similar situation in heat three, clocking 26.92 to qualify sixth overall.
When all was said and done, if you broke 27 seconds, you made the ‘A’ final.
Of note, 100m free American Record holder Anna Moesch scratched the event. She has been swimming off-events all week and appears to have her sights set on another fast 100 free later today.

Top 8 Qualifiers:
- Ilya Kharun (Sun Devil Swimming) – 23.20
- Michael Andrew (MA Swim Academy) – 23.37

- Caeleb Dressel (Sporting Jax Aquatic Club) – 23.74
- Yassin Abdelghany (Jaguar Aquatics) & Spencer Nicholas (Nashville Aquatic Club) – 23.86 (tie)
The first circle-seeded heat saw defending national champion Dare Rose pop 23.68 to secure the win, the sole swimmer from the heat to advance to the ‘A’ final.
About a minute later, heat eight saw 2022 overall World Cup winner Dylan Carter (23.39) get the edge over Santo Condorelli (23.48) and American Record holder Caeleb Dressel (23.74), with all three safely qualifying.
Ilya Kharun and Michael Andrew went to battle in the final heat, with Kharun getting the edge off the start and never relinquishing the lead, clocking the fastest time of the morning at 23.20. Andrew was close behind in 23.37, with Spencer Nicholas (23.86).
A swim-off will be required for the final lane in tonight’s final, as Yassin Abdelghany threw down a lifetime-best 23.86 to win heat two, matching Nicholas’ time exactly.

Top 8 Qualifiers:
- Eneli Jefimova (Estonia) – 1:06.94
- Aimee Canny (South Africa) – 1:07.65
- Emma Weber (Cavalier Aquatics) – 1:07.83
- Skyler Smith (North Carolina Aquatic Club) – 1:08.37
- Maddie Moreth (Valparaiso Swim Club) – 1:09.37
- Ella McQuinn (Texas A&M University) – 1:09.50
- Brooke Corrigan (Wisconsin Aquatics) – 1:09.88
- Anna Inagaki (University of Louisville) – 1:10.31
In the first of the circle-seeded heats, UVA-trained Olympic relay gold medalist Emma Weber (1:07.83) posted the third-swiftest time of the morning to grab the win over Indiana local Maddie Moreth (1:09.37), with Moreth’s time holding up for fifth-best.
NC State’s Eneli Jefimova led heat seven from start to finish, swimming to the fastest time of the morning in 1:06.94, the only swimmer from her heat to break 1:10. Louisville’s Anna Inagaki was second to Jefimova in 1:10.31, the only swimmer above 1:10 to make the top eight when all was said and done.
Top-seeded Kate Douglass scratched the final heat, which was fairly unsurprising given she was entered in a triple this morning (50 fly, 100 breast, and 100 free), and the 100 breast probably made the most sense to drop given her free speed has been on fire this meet. In her absence, UNC’s Skyler Smith secured the heat win in 1:08.37, with Wisconsin’s Brooke Corrigan joining her under 1:10 in 1:09.88.
In heat three, Virginia’s Aimee Canny was not seeded with her PB of 1:06.57, but she easily made the final with the second-fastest time of 1:07.65. A few heats later, Texas A&M’s Ella McQuin swam 1:09.50 to hack nearly two seconds off her entry time, advancing sixth.

He opened in a scorching 26.99 before touching in 58.32, breaking Michael Andrew‘s 2021 Pro Swim Series record of 58.67 and giving his own PB of 58.19 and Andrew’s American Record of 58.14 a healthy scare…and it’s just prelims.

Who won women’s 100m
I’ll be the bad guy and predict 100 freestyle normalcy tonight
It’s just so disappointing to see MA, the current AR holder, fall off this hard in the 100 breaststroke… Like ever since the 2024 Olympic Trials, he’s only broken 1 minute ONCE and that was 2025 US Nats (59.99), and he hasn’t broken 59 seconds since 2022 Worlds…
100m is just too much for this 27 year old. he gets gassed too easily. amateur surfing isn’t paying off for MA the way his dad coach claims it does.
wow just wow. MA’s instagram post (up now) with song praising the Lord as his selected background song while he frolics with women in thongs.
Crazy how far the aussies have fallen off considering were matching their 100 free times in prelims of a pro series meet 🤣
Is Gretchen Walsh just not swimming today?
No, shes leaving for a meet in Italy soon so she headed home today
Damn I was really hoping for Douglass Moesch going head to head in the 100
Wait I’m dumb she did both 50 fly and 100 free nvm
I know y’all tell me that I’m deaf, dumb, blind, and a few other things, but whatever.
Where was Alexy?
Or worse! The Silent (Downvote) Treatment!
Gasp! 😳
I’ll keep sipping coffee and searching for the answers…sigh…
I’m getting closer! I see that he is “washed”. Maybe ill?
He scratched, right?
I’ll find it…
I found it!!!

Thank you SwimSwam. You never let me down.
😍
He clearly no showed the meet along with some of his Cal teammates like Gabriel Jett. His other teammates that did swim at the meet seemed to have left early. As to a why IDK. It seems like it wasn’t something specifically wrong with Alexy but a decision made with Cal Aquatics.
Thanks!
You are correct sir 😉
