Destin Lasco sets 11-12 NAG record in 50 yard back at MA Elite Meet

12-year-old Destin Lasco went 25.02 in the 50 yard backstroke at the Middle Atlantic Age Group Invitational, breaking the previous National Age Group record of 25.14 set by Seth Beer in 2009.

Lasco, who swims for Pleasantville Aquatics in Pleasantville, New Jersey, has already put his name in the 11-12 NAG record book for the 100 yard back, as well as several backstroke records in the 10&under category.

The MA Elite Meet continues through Monday at the Gloucester County Institute of Technology in New Jersey.

Congrats to him!
And he also swam a 200 free in 1.48.93 and a 200 back in 1.57.11 before his NAG record!

Very special talent.
