SARASOTA, Fla. — U.S. Masters Swimming’s National Office staff underwent a realignment as the organization prepares to rebuild and grow following the coronavirus pandemic.
Kyle Deery, USMS’s longest-tenured staff member, has been promoted to Chief Marketing Officer and will continue to oversee marketing, branding, communications, and publications.
Jessica Reilly will now work under Kyle’s leadership on USMS’s technology infrastructure and continue to lead volunteer services and communication as Senior Director, Marketing Technology and Volunteer Services.
Jay Eckert has been promoted to Senior Director, Membership and Business Development. In this new role, he will oversee membership and club services in addition to continuing to build relationships with USMS’s partners and oversee USMS’s events.
His new department will include Manager, Membership and Club Services Steve Hall, who will focus on members, clubs, and coaches, and Onshalee Promchitmart, who was promoted to Manager, Events and Business Development and will focus on support for events, College Club Swimming, and volunteer services. The department will also include Sarah Johnson, who will move into the full-time role of Coordinator, Membership and Club Services, and Melanie Jaudon, who will move into the full-time role of Coordinator, Events and Business Development.
Bill Brenner will lead USMS’s efforts to support and grow membership through clubs as the Senior Director, Club and Coach Development. His new role will include providing coaches the resources, education, and mentorship needed to support USMS’s membership and will receive support from the newly created Membership and Business Development Department.
Staff Accountant Adrienne McKee is also moving to a full-time position.
“The past year has been full of challenges for USMS,” USMS CEO Dawson Hughes says. “The new structure will allow our staff members to use their strengths to support USMS clubs, events, coaches, and volunteer efforts at the local level to provide quality swimming opportunities for USMS members across the country. We believe USMS has tremendous potential for growth in the coming year to rebuild to pre-pandemic membership levels and beyond. ”
