Howley established a new personal best in the 200 fly, shaving .02 seconds off her previous best, which she had swum just 22 days ago.
Howley swam a 22.93, taking a nice-sized chunk of time off her previous best of 23.34, which she had established back December of 2018.
At the 2020 MR LIAC Cappy’s Big Race Invite, Long Island Aquatic Club’s Cavan Gormsen led a slew of fast swims, putting up a 4:43.85 in the 500 freestyle.
It’s been a big month for the Long Island Aquatic Club, under head coach Dave Ferris and his staff, with a slew of personal-best times in September.
Barriers were broken over the weekend at the Freedom Pool in NY where National Junior Team member Tess Howley (above) went 6-6 and lowered her 100 free time.
