Pallister was consistently faster today than she was three years ago. Today, she only was above the 1:02 mark on one 100 compared to doing so four times a few years ago. She also was under the 1:01 mark all the way through the first 600, compared to only being under 1:01 once during the middle of the race previously.
Pallister smashed the US Open Record of a 15:42.05 set back in 2022 at the World Cup during a time trial by Katie Grimes of the US. Grimes was set to compete this weekend in Westmont but was a late scratch, although she was not entered in the 1500 free to begin with.

The only other swimmer to appear more than once in the all-time top 10 performances is Anastasiia Kirpichnikova who sits at #4 and #6.

Go Lani!
Lani’s 800 split is also the 13th fastest 800 of all time. Wild!
Surely she’s got the 800 record in her sights for next week
Why does Ledecky not compete in SCM?
she needs to focus on lc if she wants titles in LA
Probably focusing only LC and I remember she broke the world record just swimming both 800 and 1500 once back in 2022
She just doesn’t.
Just like Michael Phelps.
avoid burnouts
She’s pretty much swam every available LCM race since 12 and has rarely (if ever?) taken a break.
She should get the 800 WR..in Toronto
