18 year old Julie Mishler swam to another lifetime best in the 50 freestyle, touching in a 24.90 to win the event at the US Summer Championships. This marked her first time under the 25-second mark and also moves her up to #10 all-time in the 17-18 age group.
Mishler previously swam a 25.00 just last week to win the event at Summer Juniors, also in Irvine. That time had moved her to be tied for #11 all-time in the age group. With her swim today, she moves right ahead of Kate Douglass who swam a 24.99 back in 2020.
Prior to Summer Juniors last week, Mishler’s lifetime best was a 25.06 from 2024 US Olympic Trials.
