Social Media Coordinator

Job Description:

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Social Media Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving social media content creation and engagement, collaborating closely with our marketing teams to develop and execute effective social media strategies. Your role will contribute to the elevation of our social and branded storytelling for all Kiefer Aquatics and the Lifeguard store social media accounts. This is a full-time position.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the marketing teams to develop and execute social media strategies and content that align with our brand’s objectives and values.
  • Coordinate with team to incorporate local store content into our main social media accounts. Coordinate store takeovers for relevant events such as swim meets and trade shows.
  • Manage assets, provide content support, and engage with users on social media platforms.
  • Assist the team with asset requests, file management, scheduling posts, tracking links, and calendar coordination. Take ownership of all weekly social media posts and stories.
  • Stay updated on trending competitors, hashtags, user-generated content, and potential partners for paid posts or content creation. Identify content opportunities for our primary channels.
  • Provide weekly and monthly analytics and reports, including @mentions, sentiment analysis, key topics, and conversation opportunities.
  • Monitor and share brand-specific, industry, and social platform trends and insights.
  • Provide support to the marketing team in other areas as needed, such as email marketing and YouTube video management. Assist in building out creative assets.
  • Previous experience as a swimmer or lifeguard is a plus.

  • Increased brand awareness and following for both Kiefer and The lifeguard store social media accounts.
  • Continuous, engaging content generated daily via stories and posts.
  • An increase in consumer engagement on the account and consumer generated content to the accounts
  • Increased traffic and revenue to the websites through the social media channels

Experience & Attributes / Candidate Profile

  • 1-2 years of experience creating content for social media, including photography, videography, and graphic design, with a strong understanding of best practices and content styles for various platforms.
  • Passion for social media and digital trends, with a particular focus on Facebook and Instagram. Knowledge of TikTok is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop/Illustrator or other creative programs for content creation and in-app editing.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly organized and efficient.
  • Self-starter and solution seeker who thrives in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Compensation & Benefits

Role compensation includes annual base salary + bonus incentive based on performance targets that will be established.

Working Conditions

Remote role setting with some travel required.  Company will provide necessary tools / equipment to execute role.

The physical demands of this position are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions the job advertised.

  • Prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk and viewing computer monitors.
  • Travel to attend select Trade events and other meetings as needed.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with typical work hours of Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm but may also involve weekends or “after hours” work when traveling, meeting with customers, trade events and completing work as needed in a timely manner.
