Are you passionate about youth, and swim coaching? Capital City Club’s Aquatics department is currently seeking a Summer Swim Coach/Instructor. We’re in search of candidates who are not only professional but also enthusiastic and patient. If you possess the necessary swimming knowledge to teach and the passion to motivate, we want to hear from you.
Position Summary:
As a Summer Swim Coach/Instructor at Capital City Country Club, you’ll play a vital role in teaching our championship-level, and rapidly growing swim program. This position requires someone who excels at working with children and effectively communicating with their parents. It also offers the potential for year-round, part-time employment with Aquatics Programming and Swim Lessons.
Position begins April 27th, and concludes with Championships on June 27th.
Coaching Responsibilities:
- Create a safe and enjoyable learning environment for your swimmers
- Develop swimmers of all levels
- Provide basic lessons to new swimmers
- Assist athletes and experienced swimmers in refining their skills
- Maintain and submit a monthly availability schedule to the Head Coach/Aquatics Manager for membership sign-up (Template provided)
- Communicate efficiently with the Head Coach/Aquatics Manager and promptly respond to parent’s and swimmer needs
- Incorporate safety skills to progress participants toward competitive swim team readiness
Qualifications:
- Ability to work well with children between the ages of 4-14 years old
- High-energy, enthusiastic, and sometimes goofy personality
- Previous work in customer service environment
- Previous Swim Coaching Experience (preferred)
Compensation:
- 9-week stipends range from $1,500 to $3,500, based on experience, with potential for substantially more in commission
- Commission from Private Swim Lessons at a rate of $40-$55 per 30min lesson.
- Instructor receives 70% of all lesson income. (Club receives 30%)
