Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Head Men’s and Women’s Swim & Dive Coach is responsible for leading, managing, and developing both the men’s and women’s programs. RECRUITMENT
- Lead recruitment for both the men’s and women’s programs, identifying, evaluating, and enrolling 8–10 student-athletes per team annually to maintain sustainable and competitive rosters.
- Develop and execute a strategic recruiting plan that prioritizes athletes capable of contributing to the competitive success of both programs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with high school coaches, club programs, and other recruiting contacts to expand the program’s reach and talent pipeline.
- Monitor and evaluate recruits’ performance and potential, ensuring incoming athletes strengthen team competitiveness and program sustainability.
- Ensure all recruitment activities comply with NCAA, conference, and institutional regulations, while advancing the program’s competitive goals.
COACHING and COMPETETIVE STRATEGY
- Oversee all practice planning, training, and competition strategies for both programs, ensuring preparation aligns with program goals and competitive standards.
- Develop and execute practice plans, training programs, and meet strategies to make real-time tactical decisions that enhance competitiveness in swim and dive events.
- Provide individualized coaching that emphasizes technique, mental preparedness, and performance under pressure.

STAFF and ADMINISTRATIVE LEADERSHIP

COMPETITION AND POOL OPERATIONS

- Coordinate the aquatics facility schedule, including team practices, classes, open swim for students/faculty/staff, Student Affairs events, and NCAA/SCIAC championship events, while navigating shared use of the pool with Bonita High School and with the City of La Verne.
- Hire, schedule, and supervise qualified lifeguards for home aquatics contests and events.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs of equipment and inform the correct designees from ULV, Bonita High School, and the City of La Verne of ongoing repair or improvement needs, including capital needs.
- Coordinate or assist with pool setup, equipment, and other event logistics as needed to ensure smooth operations.
BUDGET MANAGEMENT and OVERSIGHT
- Manage and oversee both program’s annual budget, ensuring financial resources are strategically allocated to support competitive success across coaching, facilities, equipment, recruitment, and travel.
- Collaborate with the athletic department’s administrative team to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines and institutional/departmental financial policies.
- Monitor expenditures to maintain fiscal responsibility while maximizing the program’s operational and competitive efficiency.
- Identify and pursue external funding opportunities, including donations, sponsorships, and fundraising initiatives, to enhance the program’s financial sustainability and competitive resources.
COMPLIANCE and INSTITUTIONAL ALIGNMENT
- Ensure full compliance with all NCAA, SCIAC, and University regulations, policies, and ethical standards governing intercollegiate athletics.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of recruitment guidelines, eligibility requirements, and other regulations relevant to the program.
- Work collaboratively with athletic administration to align both program’s goals, operations, and culture with the broader mission and values of the University.
- Uphold the highest standards of competitive integrity, academic responsibility, and professional conduct, promptly reporting any potential concerns or violations to the Director of Athletics, Deputy Director, or Compliance & Student Services Manager.

Glenbrook High School District 225 is seeking a Head Coach for Glenbrook Swim Club. The start date for this position is July 1, 2026.
The Head Coach for Glenbrook Swim Club is the primary architect of the program’s identity and cultural standard, providing a strategic vision for the club and directing the path toward technical and performance excellence. The Head Coach will work in direct synergy with the coaching staff and Head Age Group Coach to ensure a cohesive “one-club” philosophy that breathes life into the mission, vision, and values of the Glenbrook Swim Club program.
The Head Coach is responsible for all coaching aspects related to the planning, preparation, and implementation of the comprehensive swim program as a pillar of the larger Glenbrook Aquatics program. This includes overseeing the day-to-day coaching strategy for each age group, providing direction and mentoring to the coaching staff, and developing and maintaining the overall coaching philosophy for the Glenbrook Swim Club organization.
Education and/or Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- American Swim Coaches Association Level 3 or higher preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of Head swim coaching experience, preferred.
- 10+ years of swim coaching experience, preferred.
- A demonstrated track record of developing high-performance athletes.
- Previous competitive swimming experience.
- The ability to obtain and maintain all required USA Swimming certifications, including passing an annual background check.
- The ability to obtain and maintain Lifeguarding/First Aid & CPR/AED certifications.
- Experience with TeamUnify and Hy-Tek Meet Manager required.
- Experience in Timing Systems preferred.
- Colorado Timing Systems preferred.

Raleigh Swimming Association: RSA at Sunset Full-Time Lead Coach

Introduction
This full-time position is located primarily at RSA’s satellite site at Sunset Ridge North, 215 Kingsport Road in Holly Springs, North Carolina.
The position requires an average of thirty (30) coaching hours per week as a Lead Coach and/or Assistant Coach and an average of eight (8) administrative hours per week. Administrative hours include attendance at a weekly staff meeting and a weekly mentor meeting. Meet attendance, as determined by the Head Age Group Coach and/or the Head Coach of the swim team, is expected. Weekend and evening hours are expected.
Primary Duties
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:
- Leading two swim team groups, including writing workouts and taking attendance;
- Writing and sending weekly emails to groups led by the Lead Coach;
- Leading dryland workouts for groups selected by the Sunset Site Lead (Dryland workouts are written by the Strength and Conditioning Coach.);
- Preparing and disseminating athlete progress reports and report cards for the athletes in the practice groups led by the Lead Coach;
- Interacting in person, by phone and via electronic communication with parents and guardians swim team members;
- Assisting with at least one other practice group;
- Attending swim meets as requested by the Head Coach or Head Age Group Coach of the swim team;
- Enforcing facility and swim team policies;
- Assisting in fundraising;
- Maintaining office hours at least once weekly;
- Participating in agreed-upon organization activities and organization related affairs, as directed by the Head Coach of the swim team, the Head Age Group Coach of the swim team, the Sunset Site Lead and/or the Executive Director; and
- Assisting the Sunset Site Lead, the Head Age Group Coach of the swim team, the Head Coach of the swim team, and/or the Executive Director as needed.
Required Skill Set:
- A minimum of two years of elite athlete coaching experience
- USA Swimming Coach credentials in good standing
- Current American Red Cross professional lifeguard certification
